BadkamerXXL offers over 40,000 quality sanitary products in its webshops from well known brands like Villeroy & Boch, Duravit and Grohe to their own homebrand Blinq. The shops are part of Project XXL B.V which has a team of five professionals. The common goal is to provide added value in the online market for sanitary products by offering good service, quick delivery and competitive prices.

Segmentation Strategy

Using Fanplayr technology, BadkamerXXL managed to significantly increase the conversion rate and average order value of the users browsing its websites.

Harnessing Fanplayr’s advanced data analysis, visitor segments with a low propensity to convert were quickly identified and by offering these segments a timed incentive (a shareable discount code) these users were encouraged to complete their journey through to transaction, rather than lapse/abandon cart. As a result, both the propensity to purchase and the average order value increased.

Several offers and combinations were tested over the course of two months to find the most effective strategy in terms of delivering ROI. Ultimately, Fanplayr was able to identify the brands and categories with the highest margin, cross-sell and upsell these segments, whilst also reducing the number of customers lapsing pre-purchase and the number of users abandoning cart.

Conversion Rate Increased by 40%

In using the friendly Fanplayr interface and the integrated A/B test functionality, conversion rate increased significantly.

Within the defined segments the average order value increased by 6% and the conversion rate by 40%. The positive contribution to the net turnover was 48%.
